MEET RYAN
I have a diverse background that includes counseling, psychology, higher education and theater. After obtaining a Master of Education in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University, I spent nearly 10 years working in higher education. During that time, I developed workshops and presentations geared towards college students, advised various student groups, and served on several campus committees aimed towards improving campus life.
After leaving higher education, I received an MA in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I began working as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at North County Lifeline with at risk youth and adolescents along with teaching parenting classes. Using my combined knowledge of Student Affairs and Counseling Psychology I transitioned to the on campus counselor at Woodbury University San Diego.
In my spare time, I work actively as an award winning actor and director, having performed throughout the San Diego theater community. I serve as Treasurer for a newly established non-profit theater company, Teatro San Diego, that seeks to promote the arts to underserved populations in San Diego. I am currently teaching musical theatre and acting classes to children, adolescents and teenagers.
I believe in providing opportunities for individuals and groups to learn and grow in their lives. Through my individual sessions, workshops and presentations, I positively encourage others to become the best versions of themselves.
